Sinergise is a SME from Slovenia with extensive expertise in developing advanced geospatial information systems based on web technology. It has experts in the field of user needs and system design, software development, database administration and system infrastructure. Sinergise has successfully completed several projects involving spatial data capture and spatial data analysis for customers in Europe and Africa. Their products can be grouped in agriculture, real estate and cloud GIS. Agriculture-related systems include those covering Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) legislation (LPIS - land parcel identification system, on-the-spot controls, control with remote sensing, rural development, etc.) as well as agro-environmental and animal/crop disease applications. Real-estate management deals with land administration, cadaster, deeds (land titles and mortgages) and computer aided mass appraisal (CAMA). Cloud GIS solutions include Geopedia, crowd-sourcing platform, and Sentinel Hub, award winning satellite imagery archiving, processing and distribution service, which powers several earth observation applications in Europe, Africa, US and Australia and at this moment processes two million requests per week, crunching more than quadrillion satellite imagery pixels from Sentinel, Landsat, Planet, RapidEye and other missions.
Role in the project
Sinergise will provide professional assistance for implementation of new technologies and development of already existing ones, especially in management of spatial data for implementation of Use Case 2 ‘Prefilled application, GSSA/Land link.
Key persons involved
Grega Milcinski, BSc. in Physics, a co-founder and CEO of Sinergise, has been leading software development teams for more than 15 years, out of these more than 12 years in the field of land administration. He held roles of consultant, project manager, business analyst and architect of land administration systems in Europe (Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, France) and Africa (Nigeria, Mauritius, Ghana). BSc. in Physics and additional general management programme education proved to be a good combination of problem solving and managerial skills to benefit company's customers, making it possible to successfully finish a number of projects. He authored and co-authored several papers in the field of IT, land administration and agriculture policy.
Miha Kadunc, BSc. in Physics. Miha is Chief Technical Officer for Sinergise and is involved in most developments in the company. He is tremendously skilled and experienced in all relevant technologies, including all major developments for data quality systems in UK, LPIS in Slovenia, Croatia and Macedonia and LIS in Mauritius, Nigeria and Tanzania. He has unique vision and skill, and provided the key innovation, design and development of many key systems including LAVIMS. He is adaptive in view of working environment and team infrastructure. He has been working in several teams of different size and on different projects in several roles (as a graphical designer, chief architect, software developer, project manager), and in different international and multicultural environments.

• LandSense (H2020): As part of the project’s team, Sinergise is in charge of the “Build” work package. The main objective of this package is to set up the LandSense Engagement Platform by federating the existing tools such as Geopedia, Sentinel Hub, Geo-Wiki, LACO-wiki, COBWEB, EODC computing resources and other applications, bringing together knowledge, data and resources.
• Initiator of the Sentinel Hub for observation of the Sentinel, Landsat and similar data either within the cloud GIS application, Geopedia, or through any favorite GIS application using WMS.
