General description

Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) is part of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. The aim is to improve opportunities for entrepreneurs and strengthen their position. The Agency works at the instigation of ministries and the European Union.

Netherlands Enterprise Agency focuses on providing services to entrepreneurs. The Agency works in The Netherlands and abroad with governments, knowledge centres, international organisations and countless other partners.

Netherlands Enterprise Agency ( encourages entrepreneurs in sustainable, agricultural, innovative and international business. It helps with grants, finding business partners, know-how and compliance with laws and regulations.

Role in the project


As the Dutch payment agency our contribution consists of :

  • Leading a Use Case (4b) on the ‘Use of machine data in GSAA as added value data’ for the modernisation of the CAP
  • Exploring several Use Case components of the project notably ‘Agri-environmental monitoring’ (Use Case 1b)
  • Creating an EU-wide platform (WP5) to modernise the CAP including IACS and to foster common solutions across the EU for similar issues
  • Moderating between EU Payment Agencies by using the Learning Network of EU Payment Agencies (WP5)


Key persons involved

Folkwin Poelman is a project manager and lead of one of the WP. He has a lot of expertise in CAP within the Paying Agency, as well from the business side as IT.

Marc Middendorp is a GEO expert and has a lot of experience in creating added value of area-related data by enhancing cost-effective processes for payment agencies as well as the farming sector.
