On the 29th of November NIVA organized a closing webinar. The topic was ‘Final innovation produced by NIVA‘. In this webinar NIVA informed the stakeholders on the latest developments of the NIVA project. In this webinar NIVA gave an impression on the recent work on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and on the work of two external tests on the Machine Data Use Case (UC4B). Around 80 people joined the webinar.

In the first presentation the lessons learned and next steps on the AI processing of geotagged photos were shared.  AgriSmart is developed to complement the geotagged photo app AgriSnap (UC4A). The method that was developed is available as open source on the NIVA GitLab. The need for AI for small parcels to complement the UC1A Decision Support System (DSS) was presented as well. To deal amongst others with the small parcels four classifiers were developed.

The next topic was the pilot validations of NIVA components UC4B (machine data). NIVA organized a Call for Support for Third Parties, and two of the projects shared their experiences. The project DATAFERT showed how this project worked on a future proof solution in Flanders by including the data consent platform DjustConnect next to the NIVA components between the Vervaet platform (machine supplier) and the Paying Agency. The project DSMDFMISS showed the results of the testing of the UC4B in Latvia. The results and the accuracy of the data led to the conclusion that there is a long-term potential.
